sparrow-sized fossil bird of the Jurassic period to the Cretaceous period having a keeled breastbone and vestigial tail; found in China; considered possibly the second most primitive of all birds ジュラ紀から白亜紀のスズメほどの大きさの化石鳥で、竜骨の付いた胸骨と、退化した尾を持つ。中国で発見された。全ての鳥類の中で、恐らく2番目に原始的であると考えられている。
