【上位】 a yellow dye that is visible even when highly diluted; used as an absorption indicator when silver nitrate solution is added to sodium chloride in order to precipitate silver chloride (turns pink when no chloride ions are left in solution and negative fluorescein ions are then absorbed) 非常に希釈されたときでさえ見える黄色の染料。硝酸銀溶液が塩化銀を沈殿させるために塩化ナトリウムに加えられる際に、吸収指標として使われる（塩化物イオンが溶液に残っておらず、陰フルオレセイン・イオンがそれから吸収されるとき、ピンクに変わる）。
